Jared was born November 10, 1989 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a student at the University of Northern Iowa. Jared was a member of Lutheran Church of Hope and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends.
Jared is survived by his parents, Scott and Julie Havel of Urbandale; brother, Jacob Havel of Urbandale; sister, Jessica Havel of Urbandale; grandparents, Jack and Sandie Stumberg and Kenneth and Marlene Havel all of Grundy Center; great-grandparents, Dwayne and Doris Hansberger of Grundy Center and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines.
