Jason Pennington, 37, passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center on May 7, 2015. He was surrounded by his family and friends.
Jason is survived by his son, Cole Pennington, of Gladstone, Missouri, his mother, Madolyn Pennington of Martensdale, his father, Richard Pennington, of Peoria, Illinois, sister Amy (Aaron) Banks and their son, Brock, of Urbandale, and his girlfriend Lindsay Gilliatt of West Des Moines.
Jason loved the Kansas City Royals and was a huge fan of his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved, biking, kayaking, camping, and spending time whenever he could with his family and friends. Jason was a friend of Bill W.
He will be so greatly missed by all who knew him, and will be remembered as a kind and generous soul.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the fund set up for his son Cole Pennington.
A visitation will be held, Monday May 11, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266. A Celebration of Life Service will be held On Tuesday May 12, 2015, at 10:30 AM, at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266.
