Johnny Dean Blythe, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines with a visitation from 1 p.m. until service time. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Mausoleum.
Johnny was born September 30, 1962 in Des Moines, IA to Kenneth and Elia (Valenzuela) Blythe. He graduated in 1981 from East High School. Johnny attended DMACC and graduated from Carlson College of Massage Therapy. He owned and operated his own business for over 30 years where he touch so many with his infectious sense of humor and light hearted nature. This made him a bright and shining light to everyone he met.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 37 years, Laura; daughter, Ashely (David) Wilson; siblings, Kenneth and Kathy Blythe; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Young; numerous cherished nieces and nephews; and many friends and clients. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jackie.
