Julianna Gail Billings

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julianna Gail (Boettger) Billings, age 70, of Des Moines, Iowa, on September 29th, 2025. Julianna peacefully passed away at Harmony House, surrounded by loved ones.

A memorial service to celebrate Julianna's life will be held at Des Moines Fellowship Church 950 35th St, Des Moines, IA 50312 on October 25th, 2025, at 11:30AM, with a luncheon to follow.

Julianna was born on December 7th, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa, Julianna was the beloved daughter of Patrick Boettger and Hallie Craig. She was a devoted mother to her son, Joshua Billings, and her love for him was unwavering throughout her life. Julianna's legacy of love and devotion lives on through her cherished grandson, Zaccary Billings, and her brothers, Michael Boettger and Galen Boettger.

Julianna's passion for plants and flowers was one of the many ways she expressed her nurturing spirit. She found peace and joy, tending to her garden, sharing the beauty of nature with all who knew her.

Her involvement in the community, especially in the Des Moines Fellowship Church, was a testament to her commitment to helping others and her deep faith.

She was also deeply loved by her close friends, including her best friend Kathi Hattis and dear friend Jan, both of whom held a special place in her heart.

Julianna was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick Boettger and Hallie Craig, her son Joshua Billings, two sisters, a brother, and a nephew.

Juliann's kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and community will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
