Karole Lynn Tanney, 58, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday at McLaren’s Chapel followed by a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Resthaven Mausoleum following the service.
Karole was born September 25, 1955 in West Des Moines, IA. She was a member of Early Wheels of IA, owner of Good Vibrations DJ service and donated time and money to Meals on Wheels. Karole loved dancing, singing, listening to music, watching the Lawrence Welk show, going to car shows and spending time with her family.
Karole is survived by her husband of 25 years, David Tanney of Des Moines; two daughters, Hillary Tanney and Lindsay (Josh) Ayres both of Des Moines; son, James Kelley of Des Moines and three grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah and Jeremiah Corbin. She was preceded in death by her parents Claude Kahley and Izetta Kahley.
