Kenneth Robert Winebrenner, 83, left for his heavenly home on October 18, 2021 in the arms of his loving wife of 64 years, Fay. In the last few days he had been surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
Kenny was born September 3, 1938, to Marshall and Eunice Winebrenner and spent his early years in Guthrie Center, Iowa-moving to Peru, Iowa in 1953. He attended and graduated from Winterset High School, where he met his future wife.
Kenny and Fay married in 1957 and spent the first 3 years of their life together at Camp Pendleton, California, where he was serving with the USMC. Upon completion of his service they returned to Iowa to grow their family. Kenny retired from Standard Forwarding and was a 30 year Teamster member. He was also a member of Galilee Baptist Church, where he served the Lord faithfully for many years.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Fay; son, Steve (Karen); two daughters, Sue (Blake Bauer) and Lori, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Jean); and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Burdette.
Memorial contributions may be made to Galilee Baptist Church or Mercy Hospice.
