Linda was a 1966 graduate of North High School and was a well loved performer. After raising five beautiful children the best way she knew how, Linda went back to college and finished her education. She received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Northwest Missouri State and immediately began to work to care for others, as she always did.
One of her greatest accomplishments as nurse was her work that she did to do away with restraints in nursing homes in Iowa. Linda was recognized as being instrumental in ensuring that patients and residents of the facilities that she managed were cared for with the utmost respect and love.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lester Leslie and mother, Pauline Leslie. She is survived by one brother, Douglas Leslie, of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Although she was accomplished as a nurse and was a talented and beautiful actress/performer, her greatest triumph was the legacy in the children that she left to grace this Earth. She will be waiting for the day that she will be reunited with sons, Michael (Billie Jo) Crowe of Newton, Iowa, Eddie (Laura) Hutchinson of Fort Belvoir, Virginia., Ron (Katty) Hutchinson of San Antonio, Texas, and daughters, Melissa Moreno of Ft. Sam Houston, Texas and Nicole Richardson of Pueblo, Colorado. Linda also leaves behind many grandchildren, cousins, and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Linda's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
