Lolita A. Huth, 79, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019 at Altoona Nursing and Rehab Center in Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines, with a visitation starting at 3 p.m. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
Dee Dee was born January 14, 1940 to Robert and Elsie (Elsbury) Clifton in Perry, Iowa and was a 1958 graduate of Dallas Center. She met the love of her life, Larry, and were married in November of 1958 and together they raised 4 children. Dee Dee enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, and loved to travel with her family. She was referred to as a “Super Mom”, always spending time with her kids and grandkids, and never missed an activity. Nothing made her smile more then being with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Dee Dee is survived by her children, Steven (Janet) Huth, Mike (Gale) Huth, Tom (Cathy) Huth, and Kim (Marc) Arduser; grandchildren, Griffin (Jenna) Huth, Perryn Huth, Skylar (Heather) Huth, Morgan (Sammi) Huth, Brandon (Cierra) Huth, Breanna (Kielan) Sullivan, Whitney, Zachary, and Kyleigh Huth, and David Huth; great grandchildren, Jack, Cole, Sloan, Jade, Riley, Carson, and Cavanaugh Huth; siblings, Robert (Betty) Clifton, Ed Clifton, Donald Clifton, and sister-in-law, Louise Clifton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, Richard Clifton, sister, Patricia Malmquist, sister-in-laws, Janelle and Colleen Clifton, and brother-in-law, Eric Malmquist.
