Louise Stevenson, 85, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Edgewater in West Des Moines. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday at McLaren’s Chapel with burial at St. Bernard Cemetery in New Haven, Connecticut.
Louise was born and raised in New Haven, CT the daughter of Thomas and Frances Maiorino. She lived there until moving to West Des Moines 2 ½ years ago.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Anita Stevenson of West Des Moines; four grandchildren, Laura (Tim) James, Michael (fiancée, Kathleen Przywara) Stevenson; Kayla and Erica Stevenson; and one great-granddaughter, Avery Louise James. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William John Stevenson, Jr.; brother, Anthony; sister, Anna Mae; and her son, William (Bill) John Stevenson III.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
