Marilyn was born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa and lived in the Des Moines Metro area most of her life. Marilyn attended East High School and Upper Iowa University. She had worked for Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse and for the last several years was a commercial realtor.
For the many that knew Marilyn, she was a caring and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and most importantly grandma. Marilyn liked to travel and visit different parks while camping and had a special love for her dogs.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Jason; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley & Nick Wright; grandchildren, Aubrey, Noah and Kennedi Wright; father and mother, Robert and Clara Etzel; mother-in-law, Mariann Johansen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger & Kym Etzel, Robert III & Lori Etzel; sister Rosemary Palmisano and brother-in-law Jason of Papillion, NE; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
