Marjorie (Marge) Brown went home to heaven on Monday, June 20, 2011 at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines from congestive heart failure. A visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Marge was born March 1, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa to William and Blanche (Curnow) Hammond. She graduated from East High School in 1942. In 1949, she met Robert L. Brown and they had four children together, Mike, Renee, Linda and Rory. Marge has four grandchildren, Tina, Shawn, Lisa and Janae. They were blessed with six great-grandchildren, Seth, Shelby, Nate, Ella, Halley, Cooper and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Mike and Rory and brother, Bill Hammond.
