Marge (Duggleby) Foster, died on July 31, 2026 at the age of 94. She was born in Davenport, Iowa, on August 27,1931, the daughter of Ralph and Edna (Soehren) Duggleby.
Marjorie Duggleby married Holmes Foster in Mason City, Iowa on September 27, 1958 and lived the next 51 years together in Chicago, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and finally in Clive.
Marge was a legal secretary, homemaker and the right hand to her husband, Holmes.
She had a deep love for animals and supported numerous conservation efforts. Marge specifically supported the Blank Park Zoo via the zoo’s Holmes Foster Event Center and the Marjorie A. Foster Lion Conservation Center. Holmes and Marge also had a deep commitment to education and established a scholarship fund at Drake University supporting their zoo and conservation science program.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Holmes and her two brothers, Donald Duggleby and Richard Duggleby. She is survived by a niece, Leslie (Brad) Soule of Muscatine and a nephew, John (Judy) Duggleby of McFarland, Wisconsin.
Per Marge's wishes no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, Iowa.
