Marlow used to come to Mead Lumber where I worked at the time. He would come to the area from Des Moines to add gumballs, M&Ms, and other candy to the little vending machine he serviced. I remember he said he came here to visit his mother and would do his route. If we got low or a machine was broken, I would even give him a call. He also gave me a CD about Mangosteen Juice that extolled the health benefits of the juice. I hadn't seen him since 2009 when I left my job.

I always enjoyed my visited with him and so I'm really sad to hear he passed so soon.

My thoughts are with the family of Marlow today. We've just lost a great guy.

Marlow Remmers was truly special. He had his share of hardships but went through them all with a smile on his face and joy in his heart. His strong faith showed in every encounter I ever had with him. He set examples that I aspire to in his generostiy and love for all of God's people. He loved his family and we had numerous conversations about his love for his son Matthew. We shared a passion for building churches with ICM and baseball. No doubt he is basking in the presence of his Lord and Savior while hearing "Well done good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master!"
