Marvin Johnson, 89, died July 11, 2015, at Polk City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Luther Memorial Church, 1201 Grandview Avenue, in Des Moines with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Marvin was born December 26, 1925, to John and Ragna Johnson in Des Moines. He was a lifelong resident of the east side of Des Moines and a gregarious story teller.
Marvin is survived by his sister, Marian Johnson.
