Mary Jeane was born on July 17, 1920 at Cambridge, IA the daughter of Tennis A. and Mabel B. (Brodie) Larson. She graduated from Alleman High School and attended Drake University for 2 years. As co-owner of the Lamp Shop she painted replacement lamp shades, matching precisely antique lamps which customers would bring in for repair.
Mary Jeane also loved to travel and fish with her husband of 67 years and, at the age of 90, was still able to catch an 18 inch catfish. She had a great sense of humor, loved to play the organ, and, as a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, never lost her faith in God. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Lester of West Des Moines; son, Bill Anderson and daughter, Linda Anderson both of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Danielle, Ian and Dana; three great grandchildren, Sky, Kenadee and Chance; and one brother, Arnold (Vivian) Larson of Huxley.
