Mary (Mardis) Erickson, 87, passed away August 1, 2016 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2016 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines with a private burial at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter at a later date.
Mary was born November 26, 1928 to Howard and Inez Mardis in Des Moines. She was the youngest of 13 children, who are now all deceased.
Mary is survived by her son, Steve of Chandler, AZ; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Al Maupin of Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322-8th Ave. 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
