Michael Cechovic, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 1, 2014. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at McLaren’s Funeral Home in West Des Moines. Interment of his cremated remains will be at Resthaven Cemetery at a later date.
Michael was born January 25, 1979 in Hammond, IN. He attended school in Des Moines, IA and later owned and operated Community Financial Services. Michael enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and fishing. He loved sports, especially the Royals, Chiefs and the Cubs.
Michael is survived by his wife, Holly; parents, Terry Smith (Jon) and Jeff Cechovic; three children, Riley, Remy and Rebel Cechovic; brothers, Jeffery Cechovic and Donnie Smith; sister, Suellen Acri; maternal grandmother, Barbara Robinson; and paternal grandfather, Frank Cechovic, Jr.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edmond Robinson and paternal grandmother, Luella Cechovic.
