Mr. Michael Mike Dean McFall

Mike McFall, 62, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at his home in West Des Moines. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday at Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge in West Des Moines.

Mike was born October 10, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa to John and Mildred (Wise) McFall. He worked as a Building Maintenance Specialist for the City of West Des Moines. Mike volunteered at the Principal Charity Golf Classic and Night Eyes at the Blank Park Zoo, was a reserve Police Officer for the City of Urbandale and an Eagle Scout. He was on the Board of Directors for the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, past member of the Heartland Greyhound Adoption Association, past president of the Iowa State Reserve Law Officers Association and graduated from North High School in 1966. Mike loved to play softball, golf, watch NASCAR, tinkering, woodworking and going on vacation.

Mike is survived by his wife, Veronda “Roni” (Hill) McFall of West Des Moines; daughter, Traci (Brad) Schallau of Canton, IL; two sons, Casey (Jennie) McFall of Fort Irwin, CA and Andy (Jacquie) McFall of Hatboro, PA and three grandchildren, Haleigh McFall, Lauren McFall and Levi McFall.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jim and Ron McFall.
