Nancy Hyatt, 73, passed away on January 22, 2021 at her residence in Ames, IA. Burial of cremated remains will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, IA.
Nancy was born to Gus and Corene Sherwood on September 3, 1947 in Des Moines, IA. She attended East High School and remained close friends with Dixie Davis Heim and Mary Ann Jenkins. On November 23, 1973, she was united in marriage to Don Hyatt. She will be remembered for her love of politics, laughing, reading, solitaire, and spending time with her great granddaughters.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Nancy is survived by her children, Sonja Scigliano, John P. Scigliano, Shelly Hyatt, JoAnn Hyatt, Renee Jordan, and Don Hyatt; grandchildren, Kassi (Tom) Mrazek, Gauge Sletten, Jay Jordan, Felica Jordan, Kurt Hyatt, Ginger, Autumn, and Heather; and great-grandchildren, Zoe and Isabelle Mrazek.
Memorials for Nancy Hyatt can be made out to her family for later distribution.
