Words don’t - can’t- describe how I feel about the loss of Nick. I was very close with him and his family for many years in high school. Nick was so bright, talented, and he was a natural born leader even if he didn’t want to be sometimes. He was the bright smiling face on an bad day. He’d always crack these stupid jokes that made you laugh even if they weren’t funny. Band wouldn’t have been the same without him. The world has truly lost an amazing and gifted person. I grieve for him, but mostly I grieve for the Frazier family. I can’t begin to imagine how it feels to experience a loss this immense. I can’t believe he’s gone. Even though we didn’t keep in touch as much as I would have liked, we still texted every once in awhile after high school ended. I wish he knew how much he was loved. I am praying for him, and for the family. We miss you, Nick.

When I heard of Nick's passing, I was brought to tears. I cannot imagine the sadness that you are feeling as a family right now. Joe and I pray that you find comfort in the beautiful memories that you created and shared as a family, in the love of family and friends, and in the promises of our faith that Nick is in the arms of the angels at this time. Nick and I were in a few classes together at Iowa and ended our senior year together doing a group project. Every single time I walked into a group meeting or we would see each other out, he never failed to make me smile and brighten every second I spent with him. He will he deeply missed and his memory will be with me forever.

I transferred to Iowa my sophomore year, and although I made friends when I joined Sigma Pi, it was still a very difficult transition. Nick was a shining light and the face that gives you faith in people. He was honest and open and always emanated love and compassion with me. Authenticity is tough to come across in this world, but oh golly, he had it.

Nick, I love you, man. I know you’re jamming up in heaven, homie.

I got to know Nick over our years at University of Iowa and he easily became one of my favorite people to be around. His vibrant energy was unmatched every time I saw him and it was almost impossible to not have a good time in his presence. I will cherish every moment that I spent with him. My sincerest condolences go out to his family, your son was truly one of a kind.
