Patricia Griffith, 88, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at McLaren’s Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
Patricia was born June 3, 1926 in Colfax, IA to Arthur and Gwendolyn (Pond) Dale. She was a Secretary at West Des Moines Water Works. Patricia was a member of West Des Moines United Methodist Church and the Rebekah’s Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, cooking and making candy.
Patricia is survived by her three children, Ronald (Carol) Griffith of West Des Moines, Steve (Deb) Griffith of NY and Lynn (Wes) Hunt of Johnston; five grandchildren, Christa Lynch, Laura (Nate) Stroup, Kelly (Chad) Gressley, Wendy (Chad) Jennings and Stephen Hunt; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne Morgan of West Des Moines and brother, Jack (Rosalie) Dale of PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Griffith and granddaughter, Kimberly Griffith.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren’s Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to West Des Moines United Methodist Church or Hospice of Central Iowa.
