Patricia Keating Hunkapiller passed away on August 1, 2013 in West Des Moines, IA after suffering from Alzheimer’s for several years.
She was born in Appleton, WI and lived in Orlando, FL most of her life. She moved to Iowa late in life to be with her family. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and the University of Missouri. Her career included teaching, newspaper reporting and administration.
Patricia was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed taking care of her yard and many plants.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Sean and Mary Sellers, her brother and his wife, Peter and Karen Keating and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. BB Hunkapiller.
