Pat passed away unexpectedly at home on March 21, 2023. Pat had a kind and generous soul. He not only made new friends easily, with a particular talent for finding the good in people, but he cherished the friends he already had. Pat was fun loving, smart, educated and had a wide variety of interests. Pat was a devoted Iowa Hawkeye sports fan. Go Hawks! Although he lived in Kansas City much of his adult life, and strongly supported the home sports teams, Pat remained a proud Iowan. He also proudly celebrated his Irish heritage. His love of dogs, especially Dachshunds, was well known. He sorely missed his best canine friend, Sophie, when she passed away a few months ago. Pat was a wonderful brother, friend and uncle. He will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines, IA with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time at McLaren’s.
