Peggy Ann Clark

Peggy Ann Clark, age 76, of Carlisle, Iowa went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Peggy was born January 11, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa. Peggy was born and raised in Des Moines, IA. After high school, Peggy attended Prairie Bible Institute, Alberta, Canada, where she met her first husband, Bob Hepworth. Peggy and Bob would go on to touch many lives all over the country as they lived in various states while in the ministry. They were married 37 years before God called Bob home. Peggy had a love of music and often sang for her church. Peggy held various jobs throughout her life but her real love was molding chocolate into beautiful, edible art. After being widowed for 17 years, Peggy met and married Elmer 'Bud' Clark. Peggy and Bud enjoyed driving all around Iowa visiting friends and collecting pictures of all the various Freedom Rocks throughout the state. Peggy especially enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren, playing games and having chats. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Paul Davis; step father, Harold Smith; brothers, Dennis and Kenneth Davis; husband Bob Hepworth. Peggy is survived by her husband, Elmer ‘Bud’ Clark; daughter Bobbi McCaughey (Kenny); her daughter Barbara Paddock (Neil); her son Peter Hepworth (Linda); her son Bill Hepworth (Deanna); her daughter Michele Bailey (Nick); her son Dennis Hepworth (Charlotte); her step daughter Gloria Eckert (Chuck); her step daughter Shannette Williams (Tim); her step daughter Carrmann Culp (Bill); her step daughter Toni Lopez (Oscar); her step daughter Danielle Clark; and her step daughter Brenda White; step brother Richard Smith and step sisters Margaret Smith and Evelyn Bowen; 22 grandchildren; 19 step grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren. A visitation for Peggy will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel, 801 19th Street, West Des Moines, Iowa. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Carlisle Baptist Church, 615-IA 5, Carlisle, IA 50047. Serving as pallbearers are Pete Hepworth, Bill Hepworth, Dennis Hepworth, Kenny McCaughey, Nick Bailey and Neil Paddock. Peggy will be laid to rest in Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle, Iowa.
