Peggy S. King

Des Moines

Peggy S. King was born December 25, 1950 and passed away on October 4, 2010 and has gone to be with her Heavenly Father. Peggy believed in the importance of higher education, so she attended Trinity College graduating with a degree in History; Masters Degree in History from the University of Iowa; MBA from Drake University and CPA.

Peggy’s interests were family, services to others in faith and an inspirational newsletter. Her loving family, friends and her friends in faith will miss her deeply. She was known for reaching out to many souls and inspiring them with her actions and words of love and faith. Peggy was a long time member of Westchester Evangelical Free Church.

On June 26, 1976 she married Jack King. Members of her family are stepchildren Cooper King of Indianapolis, IN, LaRay Prudencio of West Des Moines, Brady King Treanor of Des Moines and Gerri Brown of Knoxville; step grandsons Cannon Brown, Shafer Brown and Wesley Prudencio; sister Connie Paul and nieces Stephanie and Stacey Paul.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm and services will be Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 10:00 am at Westchester Evangelical Free Church, 4919 Aurora Avenue, Des Moines, IA.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
