Randy Lee Fleming

With great love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, the family of Randy L. Fleming announces his passing on Monday, September 21, 2026, at his home. Randy left this world surrounded by the love, kindness, laughter, and faith that defined his life. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Berean Assembly of God Church, 5299 E. University Ave., Pleasant Hill, IA 50327. Family and friends are welcome to gather, visit with the family, and share stories and memories of Randy.

Born on July 30, 1957, in Des Moines to Janice and Bill, Randy grew up on the Southside of Des Moines and attended Lincoln High School. He worked for many years at Federal Express and Dart before retiring. Randy was full of adventure and had a great love for his family and friends.

Randy’s family and friends will especially remember his smile, quick wit, love of fishing and racing, and passion for watching the Hawkeyes. There wasn’t a person Randy wouldn’t talk to, and he always had a story to share.

At the heart of Randy’s life was his love for family. He loved his son, Blake, and his grandchildren, Gage and Clara, as well as his mother, Jan; his brothers, Kevin and Brian; and his sister-in-law, Carol. Randy was so proud of his nephew, Brian, and niece, Krista, and his great-nephews, Parker and Logan, and great-niece, Kenadi. He loved cheering them on in all their school and sporting activities and sharing stories about them with everyone who would listen.

Any monetary contributions will be used towards the memorial and final arrangements. Checks may be payable to the family.
