Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1965 through 1969 with a tour in the Vietnam War. His hobbies included attending classic car shows, reading, blasting loud music in the house, and spoiling his wife, two daughters, three grandchildren, and son-in-law.
Bob is survived by his wife Melissa of 47 years, daughters Heather Wolbers and Kimberly Dresch (Todd), grandchildren Gage Dresch (Ashley), Kallie Dresch, Kaylynn Dresch; his brother Timothy Ohnesorge (Mary Lynn) and sister Debbie Cox. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tom Hines.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines. Burial with military honors will be at 2 pm at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa.
