He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was loved and beloved by everyone and was an eternal optimist. When he was not enjoying his family or working in the yard, he would prefer to be in a boat in Canada fishing for Walleyes.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, and baby sister, Dorothy.

Ron is survived by his wife, Aggie, four sons, eleven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Ron’s family asks that memorials be made to Easterseals Iowa or Shriners Hospitals for Children in Minneapolis.

So much to say and so many stories to be told. How could you not love this man for many reasons;

Passionate love for his family
Love of all people
Zest for life
Contagious laugh

I had the pleasure of traveling around the world with Ron and Aggie, it didn’t matter what country we traveled to, if they didn’t know someone before we arrived they had new local friends before they left – – Ron never met a stranger.

Ron’s kindness was inspiring. Ron was at our home for dinner the evening I learned my first husband had been killed in an accident. Instead of leaving town the next morning as scheduled, Ron stayed in town for a week until after the funeral. He cried with us, cooked dinner for me and my girls, ran errands and served us in ways I don’t even remember. Who does that? Ron Davis - a man who loved people and put their needs above his own.

My love and prayers go to Aggie, Trent and Sheila, Jon and Mary, Glenn, Bob and the entire Beautiful Davis family.

Papa - Your life was as colorful and bountiful as the gardens you tended. Thank you for marrying such a wonderful woman and bringing my father onto the Earth. You taught me to work hard, be honest, love my garden and my family. The kids and I planted a little apple tree for you this weekend. I hope you know that I'll teach my children as you have taught me and we will make you proud. Everytime I am out in my garden I know you will be with me, shining down through the rays of the sunshine. We will miss you with every breath and will never forget the love you have shown. Colorado will miss you.
