

Sherri Elaine Leger, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away July 22, 2026. She was born on September 14, 1962, in Littlefield, Texas, to Tommey and Mary Chronister. She was the youngest of five children.
Sherri spent her younger years growing up in Texas and Oklahoma City. She later married Timothy Leger and moved to Kansas, where she raised her three children. Her children and grandchildren were the true highlights of her life, and she adored every single one of them.
Sherri believed in working hard, telling the truth, and living life to the fullest. Although she could be stubborn at times, she possessed a strength and determination that were truly admirable. She loved to travel and enjoyed the experiences and memories made along the way.
She was a woman who loved deeply and was loved dearly in return. The friends she made throughout her life were precious to her heart, and she cherished the special bonds she shared with those who knew and loved her. Her love was the kind that persevered where others faded; no matter what happened, she would never stop loving you. That steadfast devotion defined her and left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to receive it.
Sherri is survived by her children, Heather (Jose) Vitteri, Timothy Leger, and Keli (Tracy) Holder. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Gabriel, Josephine, Isabel, Ana, Caroline, Raphael, Veronica, Samuel, and Sebastian; two older brothers and one sister; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who adored her.
Sherri was loved by all who truly knew her. Her strength, honesty, love, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone whose life she touched. She will be missed more than words can say.
