Steve dedicated his life to his family and to his work as a proud union carpenter. Throughout his career in the construction industry, he was known for his exceptional craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and the pride he took in every project. His years as a member of the Carpenters Union reflected his commitment to his trade and the respect he earned from those who worked alongside him.
Steve had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing, golfing, and being outside whenever he could. Whether on the golf course, by the water with a fishing pole, or enjoying nature, he was most at peace outdoors.
His greatest joy, however, was his family. Steve shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Cathy. Together they built a life centered on love, loyalty, and family.
Steve is lovingly survived by his wife, Cathy; his children, Jeremy Olson (Jody), Anna Mauro (Dan), and Bri Olson; his grandchildren, Blake (Ashlie), Cody, Connor, Alayna, Jacob, Marisa, and Kayla; and his great-grandchildren, Nora, Thomas, Denny, Emma, and one more on the way. He also leaves behind many other family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
Steve will be remembered for his quiet strength, gentle heart, unwavering dedication to those he loved, and the example he set through a lifetime of hard work, honesty, and kindness. His legacy will live on in the family he adored and in the countless lives he touched.
His family asks that those wishing to honor his memory do so by spending time outdoors, casting a fishing line, playing a round of golf, or simply sharing time with the people they love—just as Steve would have wanted.
A private family service will be held to celebrate Steve's life.
