Ted Stamatelos, 74, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Methodist Hospital. Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at McLaren’s Chapel followed by a visitation time with the family.
Ted was born in Des Moines, the son of John and Josephine Stamatelos, and lived his entire life in West Des Moines. He served in the Air Force Reserves and ran the family owned business, Johnny’s Vets Club. Ted loved his dogs, fishing and being outdoors.
He is survived by four children, Tracy Clausi, Leann Stamatelos, Andy Stamatelos and Lindsey Stamatelos; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and his two dogs, Slugo and Lily. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dan and daughter, Shelly Stamatelos.
