Terry Lynn Fieldhouse-Lalli

Terry Lynn Fieldhouse-Lalli was born February 17, 1960 and passed on December 31, 2015. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at McLaren’s Chapel with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Terry was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to West Des Moines, Iowa with her family when she was a young child. She attended Valley High School and participated in the Tiger Marching Band and synchronized swimming. After graduating high school, she went to college and trained as a travel specialist. Her favorite car was her yellow Pontiac Trans Am which was a present from her parents. In 1988, Terry married John Lalli in West Des Moines, Iowa. They have been married for 27 years and have one son, Jesse. Terry was diagnosed as a child with juvenile diabetes and succumbed to complications from this disease after many years of fighting to manage the effects. She was a stubborn soul who never gave up and she had a strong faith and belief in our Lord. She took comfort in this during her trials here on earth.

Terry is survived by her husband John; her son, Jesse and grandchild, Aiden; her two step-daughters, Megan and Sheila and 6 step-grandchildren; her parents, Wayne and Patricia Fieldhouse; her older sister and brother, Deborah Fieldhouse-Plasencia and Glenn Fieldhouse. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Dana, who passed at age 8 due to complications of Leukemia.

Terry will be remembered for her warm smile, always having a kind word for others, her patience and stubborn persistence. She enjoyed taking “girl” trips with her mother and sister, sunning by a pool or on the beach, baking, and playing with her dogs, Sammi, Mopsi, Casey and Abby. She will be dearly missed but we take comfort in knowing that she is joyous in Heaven.
