Thomas and Diann Weinman

Thomas Lee Weinman passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 and Diann Lee Weinman passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Resthaven Cemetery Mausoleum in West Des Moines.

They shared 56 years of marriage together. Both born in Des Moines, Iowa, Thomas was the son of Francis Weinman and Elsie Swisher. Diann was the daughter of Curtis Van Nordstrand and Astrid Andersen. Both were graduates from Drake. Thomas was an Artist for the Des Moines Register and Diann was a director for Iowa Commission For The Blind. Diann was part of the Danish sisterhood and had been a member for 50 years. They were kind, loving people, who enjoyed time with friends and family and made many charitable donations. They enjoyed music, art, movies and collecting antiques.

Thomas and Diann are survived by their nieces, Cinnamon Weigel (Herbert) and Kris Rappe (Jason); three great nieces, Alicia Hill (Brandon), Summer Stewart (Ethan), and Ashley Burris (Jacob).

Memorial donations can be made to the family for a future designation.
