Thomas C. Miller

Thomas Campbell Miller, 88, passed away June 25, 2026. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend to everyone. A private family graveside service will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Tom was born September 20, 1937 in Spencer, IA to Clarence C. and Mary A. (Minick) Miller. He grew up in Red Oak, IA and Falls City, NE which is where he graduated high school. Tom graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1959 with a degree in business. While there he became a member of Pi Kappa Pi Fraternity. Tom also met his wife, Judy while there and the two were married December 27, 1958.

After graduating college, Tom joined the family business, Easter Enterprises, Inc. His two sons later joined the business, and they became owners of the trucking division of the company. They later sold this entity and purchased Beaver Creek Golf Course.

Tom and Judy enjoyed a wonderful life and celebrated many special times with each other and family and friends. They enjoyed playing golf and belonging to Des Moines Golf and Country Club. They also enjoyed traveling both in the U.S. and abroad. The many times spent in Colorado and Arizona were special to both of them.

Tom is survived by his wife of 67 years, Judy; two sons, Jeff (Jan) and Todd (Jenny); four grandchildren, Greg, Ashley, Meta and Nate; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines of John Stoddard Cancer Center.
