Tracy Lynn MacDougall, age 55, died on Monday August 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in West Des Moines, IA. Tracy was born on January 3, 1970, to parents Michael and Patricia Farrell in Des Moines, IA.

Tracy was a devoted wife and loving mother whose humor knew no bounds. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether she was soaking up the sun outdoors, riding motorcycles with her family, or savoring anything made with chocolate. Tracy’s passion for rock music, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family led her to a life full of love, humor, and unforgettable moments that reflected her fierce spirit and generous heart.

Tracy is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Farrell, and her two unborn grandchildren, Callum and Messoda, who were lovingly awaited. She is survived by her loving husband, Ian Scott MacDougall, her three children Dakota MacDougall (Lydia Polzin), Kaleigha Gainey (Rhett), and Ian MacDougall (Bry); her granddaughter, Charlotte Gainey; her father, Michael Farrell; and her sister, Michelle Farrell.

A visitation for Tracy will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at West Des Moines Open Bible Church, 1100 Ashworth Rd, West Des Moines, IA 50265. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 1100 Ashworth Rd, West Des Moines, IA 50265. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Union Chapel Cemetery, 2761 105th St, Van Meter, IA 50261.
