Vincent R. Harvey

Vincent R. Harvey went to heaven on Monday, February 2, 2026 in his home at Wesley On Grand. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2026 at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines with a Rosary following at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Creston.

Vince was born April 1, 1928 in Creston to Harry and Teresa (Bradley) Harvey. He worked at Solar Aircraft Co. and later Methodist Hospital until his retirment in 1994. Vince was a drummer in a band and performed at several supper clubs and dance halls in the Creston Area. You could find him mostly at the Chicken Inn and Berning Red Carpet Room. Vince was a talented musician and played the piano by ear.

Vince is survived by his daughter, Kay (Keith) Acheson of West Des Moines; sister, Dorothy Callan of Livonia, MI; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Harvey; parents; sisters, Teresa (Dale) Johannes, Patty (Harry) Schlapia, and Joanie (Bob) Eckerman; and brother-in-law, Mike Callan.
