Grandma Casady was one of my special adopted grandmas since 1984. Always loving, caring, compassionate, giving, supportive, great advice, helpful and great cook to me but to each one of her kids and grandkids and greatgrandkids. Thankful she was apart of my life and memories that will remain with me. With love and prayers Valerie Hvam

What do you say when the light burns out? Grams was such a beacon for us all. She lovingly stood in all our shadows making sure we would shine brightly. She was so clever and funny, the master of the pun. She could weave a story, bake a pie, play the piano and so much more. I sure will miss ya Grams but we will reunite soon in heaven! I love you! One of fondest memories was taking the train to Iowa to visit. When I arrived, my Aunt Vi would be waiting there for me with the always vibrant smile to greet me, then off we would go. She always made me feel so important. I will always keep her memory close to my heart.

My joy was traveling to Iowa via train where my Aunt Vi, would pick me up for my visit, with her vibrant smile always on her face, she would welcome me with open arms and off we would go. She always made me feel so important, she was a joy to be with. I will cherish every moment with her.
