Altina Barrows

Altina (Barbara) Barrows of Harwich, MA past away Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the age of 95. Altina was the daughter of Antonio & Balbina (Fernandez) Raneo. She was the wife of the late Julio Barrows Sr. to whom she was married to for 60 years. Altina is survived by her two sons Julio Barrows Jr., and his wife Mary of Falmouth, MA and Thomas R. Barrows Sr., and his wife Barbara Barrows of Harwich, MA. Seven grandchildren Thomas R. Barrows Jr., wife Lisa, Michael J. Barrows, Deanna Barrows, Elizabeth Pina, husband Stefan Pina Sr., Robert P. Barrows, wife April and Marc Davenport. Eight Great Grandchildren Bryan Barrows, Anthony Belisle, Stefan Pina Jr., Ronnie Renaud, Dejah Pina, Brendan Davenport, Kianna Barrows and Reece Barrows. One Great Great Grandson Jayden Barrows.

She is also survived by one sister Madeline Wilson of Braintree, MA and predeceased by her granddaughter Teresa M. Barrows; Brothers and Sisters, Henry B. Raneo, Ada Teixeira, Alice Giles, Nellie Burgo, Clara Alves, Wallace Raneo and Lucille Nunes.

Altina (Barbara) loved her family and friends dearly. She was a parishioner of the Holy Trinity Church and was very fond of her community. Her favorite hobbies were cooking and baking for family, friends and the church and she also loved watching and feeding birds.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, January 25, 2015, 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home 260 Main St., West Harwich, MA. Funeral Services Monday, January 26, 2015 11am at the Holy Trinity Church 240 Route 28 West Harwich, MA.
