

Barbara Marie Kendall, West Harwich, died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at the home of Thomas Sr. and Pamela Kendall in Harwich where she resided the last 3 years, after her struggle with Alzhiemers. She was 77 years old.
Born in Hyannis, Barbara attended parochial school in Dorchester, MA and went on to graduate from D-Y Regional High School. She was the daughter of the late Melvin Sr. and Catherine Spencer of Harwich, MA. Barbara worked as a telephone switchboard operator, loved being a waitress at the Captain’s Table for more than 20 years, located in Hyannis, then went on to become a business owner with her late husband Ronald Kendall Sr.. Together they owned and operated Kendall Asphalt Paving Company located in West Harwich for over 40 years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Kendall Sr. for over 50 years, devoted mother of Ronald Kendall Jr. and Thomas P. Kendall Sr. of Harwich, Denise Peterson of Yarmouth and loving sister of the late Melvin Spencer Jr.. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren; Allison Kendall, Samantha Kendall, Tonja Laine, Catherine Kendall, James Nelson III, Stephanie Kendall, Thomas (T.J.) Kendall Jr., and Dylan Peterson. Two great-granddaughters; Aerith and Christina. All of whom were very special and adored by her.
A gathering will take place at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home on Monday August 16th at 9am followed by a procession for a Graveside Service at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15am
