January 26, 1932 – October 29, 2020
Bernice K. (Norris) Follen, 88, died peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Cape Cod Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald O. Follen with whom she shared many loving years of marriage until his passing in 2016.
Born in Middleboro on January 26, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Gladys Norris. Bernice grew up in Middleboro, Quincy, and Milton. She was a graduate of Somerville High School, and earned an Associate’s Degree from Quincy Junior College.
Bernice devoted her career to raising and caring for her family. In her spare time she enjoyed golfing and playing bridge. She loved the beach, especially those on Cape Cod. Bernice summered in Dennis for many years until her retirement when she and Donald moved there full-time.
Family was most important to Bernice. Her most cherished time was spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She loved hosting and cooking for large family gatherings, and making her “famous” Baked Alaska.
Bernice is survived and will be deeply missed by her sons, Stephen Follen of Westwood, and Edward Follen and his wife Lisa of Hingham; four grandsons, Chris, Mike, Matt, and Hunter; and a sister in law, Linda Connolly; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Donald, Bernice was predeceased by her siblings, Dot, Bill, Frank, Jane, Marie and Elaine Connolly; and Albert, Virginia, Raymond, and Allen Norris.
The family will hold a small private service and Interment on Tuesday, November 3rd. A day at the beach to celebrate Bunny’s life will be planned next spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bernice’s name to the American Lung Association of the Northeast, 1661 Worcester Rd #301, Framingham, MA 01701. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.doanebealamesharwich.com

Thinking of you all today, Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020.
It's said that we never really lose the ones we love because they live on in us. Bunny will live on in me in Christmases, apple pie, and kindness. All things I associate with her and will forever.
