Bettie Lee Zeller

Born on April 30, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Dr. James Wesley and Bertha Giffin Katzenberger of Catonsville, MD. In addition to her parents and siblings, Dorothy Rohr, Helen Heyer, Bill Katzenberger and Joan Fitzpatrick, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, William W. Zeller of Severna Park, MD and her son, Michael P. Zeller of York, ME.

She graduated from Trinity Preparatory High School in Ilchester, MD in 1948.

She was the beloved wife of Thomas F. Zeller. They celebrated 62 years of marriage on August 19th, 2012.

Betts was a poet, a painter, an avid bridge player, a loyal red sox fan, a fabulous cook and a gracious hostess, who genuinely loved people. She was an active member of the women’s guild at Holy Trinity Church in Harwich. She also volunteered at the Family Pantry, the Council on Aging and served on the entertainment committee at the West Dennis Yacht Club and the Exxon/Mobil Retiree Club of Cape Cod.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Zeller, Sr., her sister-in-law, Nancy M. Zeller of Chestertown, MD; her daughters, Deborah L. MacGilvra and her husband Keith, of Bedford, NH and Kerry A. Zeller of Nashua, NH; her son, Thomas F. Zeller, Jr. and his wife, Jane of Bellingham, MA; her daughter-in-law, Sally R. Zeller of York, ME; her grandchildren, Jason A. MacGilvra and his wife, Kateri, Paul E. Zeller, Tory R. Zeller, Phillip T. Zeller and many nieces and nephews. She’ll remain in our hearts forever, as a loving wife, mom, grandmother and friend and will truly be missed.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November, 2nd, 2013 @ 10AM followed by an interment ceremony at Holy Trinity Church @ 246 Main Street in West Harwich, MA.
