To my great friend and classmate thanks for all the wonderful memories we shared especially at the Mobil station in Dennisport. Remeber the double date we went on  Feb 1957  the four of us went to the Chatham theatre to see War and Peace boring movie but we had a good time. I ended up marrying my date and we had over 50 years together before cancer took her. You are the one who talked me into asking her to go out. Thank you for our friend ship and good times. 

I just found out today when I stopped in to the shop, I was one of the many that worked with Curt and got to out with him fixing things on boats.

I found out Sunday from Karl that Curt had passed he was a great friend and carpenter while I was employed at Karls boat shop he will be truly missed.

I am so sad for you all, Linzy and Ryan and of course to Curts older children whom I never met but he spoke highly of. I have so many great memories of Curt growing up on Chadwick Rd across the street. He affectionately nicknamed me "Doozie" when the kids couldn't say "Susie"and it has stuck with me ever since. He was a great man, gentle soul. Told it like it was. Such a great dad, Linzy, you were daddy's little girl and Ryan, you made him lose his hair but boy did you make him proud to be your father. You both turned out great as a result of having the most loving and devoted parents. I reflect on all the good times. Curt will be sorely missed, but lives on in the lives he created. I hope you all find peace in his memory. Also to Anne, the best craziest former wife a man could have, you both did a great job. RIP, I know your causing hell up there with my dad!!!! XOXO

I wish to express my deepest and most sincere sympathy and condolences to Curtis's family at this sad time.

Curt lost his long battle with cancer; he will be missed by his family and friends. He was a master with wood on any boat and wood work in general.  If he called you a friend  you were lucky  if you asked him for a favor he would always be there for you. I had the pleasure or knowing Curt for almost 16 years, after marrying his ex-wife Anne. While he was married to Anne they had two amazing kids, Ryan and Linz. Curt held no grudges, he accepted me as their step-dad, and in fact he sponsored me as a mason.  He spent many Thanksgiving's at our house.  I was able to spend some time with him on Friday, before he passed. Ryan told him that Linz was having a baby boy and she, and her husband Adam, would be naming him Curtis. His face lit up light the brightest star, his smile was from ear to ear, and he maintained that smile for a long time, especially when he looked at her picture next to his bed. May he R.I.P., he will be remembered and never forgotten.

Curt always had a smile on his face when I walked into the boat shop. We will remember all the laughs and good times we shared with him. He was always willing to craft me what I needed with no questions asked or fix things like the chain saw for my Dad. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Curt was such a dedicated craftsman for many years at our son's boat shop in Harwich.  I know that Karl and the crew at Karl's Boat Shop are going to truly miss him every day along with the rest of us that had come in contact with him. My condolences to Curts family. We have been friends since freshmen in High school. I will never forget the wonderful times we had. Kens coffee shop on RT 28 in West Harwich, the Mobil Station in Dennis port great memories.  Curt and I double dated two class mates in Jan 1957. I  married mine 3 years later . Say hi to

It has been many years since I last enjoyed time with Curt in 1958 but he was a priceless friend as we grew up in Harwich . Ken Dowd , Spring Island , SC.

Our families were friends for years and Curt and I grew up together. One of my favorite early memories is  sitting in his mom's kitchen waiting for her to cook her famous donut holes.
Good times continued right through high school and then in following summers having cook-outs on the beach.
Curt was a good guy always up for a good time. I am sorry he has left us. My love to you, Erica.

Found out today that Curt passed away...we have lost a truly wonderful gentleman who always endeavoured to do his best..the most meticulous boat carpenter and craftsman of the day...I will miss you my friend....you truly were the "salt of the sea"
