She was born July 29, 1966 and spent her youth in Chatham, MA where she was raised by the late Paul and Rosemary Thibeau. Domini graduated from Harwich High School in 1984. Soon after she was married to William Zellars, with whom she had her eldest son. She later married Stephen O’Brien in 1992 with whom she raised three children of their own.
Domini, or “Nonnie” had a love for gardening. She was a talented seamstress and passionate craftsperson. She was a supporter of the arts; she took pride in providing her loved ones with the tools and inspiration needed to create. From clay to carving tools to musical instruments, she inspired creativity and sparked joy in all who knew her.
Domini was, above all, a dedicated and loving mother. She not only spent years homeschooling her own children, but was happy to help anyone who needed tutoring, support, or guidance. She was known for her honesty, wisdom, and kindness. She had a way of making anyone feel safe and loved in her presence.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen O’Brien and her four children: Steffen, Elizabeth, Christian, and Meagan; Along with her grandchildren, Seamus, Murphy, Finley and Corinne.
In lieu of cut flowers the family is requesting potted plants which can later be added to Nonnie’s garden or cultivated indoors OR that charitable donations be made to Dream Day Cape Cod.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 1 From 1 to 4 at Doane, Beal, and Ames in West Harwich.
If you would like to contribute to Domini’s service we greatly appreciate any and all donations.
