Eileen M. Bourke

On Wednesday, August 13, 2025 Eileen Mary ( Theresa Charles ) Bourke, passed on to her eternal journey with our Lord and Savior at the age of 90. Eileen was born in the Bronx NY. For more than 50 years, Eileen has been part of the Cape Cod fabric, particularly in Harwich, where she worked as a dental assistant for both Dr. Richard Winslow and Dr. Gary Campagna. Eileen also had a career with the US Postal Service in Harwich Port. Eileen forged many friendships on the Cape and beyond and her love of life and community will continue to make an impact on people’s lives forever. Eileen’s countless memberships included the Cape Chordaires, the Stitch and Bitchers, the Trinity Book Club, the Trinity Choir, and many others.

Eileen was also a fanatic Red Sox fan. Eileen passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Eileen is survived by her three sons Bill, Jim & Ed, her daughters in-law Patricia, Mabel & Gigi as well as 5 grandchildren Patrick, Anna, Nicole, Madison & Jacquelyn. Also survived by her sisters Maryann Davison & Jill Spata, and brothers Jim & Dennis Charles along with many nieces and nephews. Eileen is pre-deceased by her husband Bill Bourke, parents James and Lillian Charles, brothers Stephen and Michael Charles and sister Patricia Grieco.

There will be viewing services at Doane Beal & Ames in West Harwich on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Chapel in Chatham at 10 AM on Friday, August 22, 2025. Her burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Harwich, MA.
