John Stanley Brophy

John Stanley Brophy, 60, of Brewster, MA passed away Friday, June 23, 2023. The son of James Edward and Marcia Mae (Black) Brophy, he was born in Melrose, MA and raised in North Reading, MA. John moved to Cape Cod in 2005 where he met his wife, Korey.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and the outdoors. John was a drummer but baseball was his passion, a passion he passed down to his son Justin. He never missed one of his son’s practices or games and loved taking him to the batting cages. John was a devoted father; he attended all of his daughter Emily’s gymnastic events. He was also a loving and devoted uncle. John was known to be fiercely loyal and generous; he would give you the shirt off his back.

John is survived by his wife, Korey, his daughter, Emily and son Justin. He is also survived by his sister Karen Twomey (late husband Jack), his brother Bob Brophy (wife Deb) and 4 nieces and nephews.
