Lena D Livramento

Loving mother, wonderful friend

Harwich- Lena Livramento, of Harwich, passed away August 6,2011.

Born on March 1, 1925 and raised in Harwich. She passed away peacefully on August 6, 2011 while surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred J. Livramento Sr. and the mother of late Wilfred "Brother" Livramento Jr. She will forever be remembered by her devoted children; Don Livramento and his wife Lisa, Joy Bryant and her husband Nate, Joyce Young and her husband Ronald Sr., Karen Livramento, Alicia Allen and Elaine Williams.

She also leaves 14 grandchildren Tamara, Rebekah, Ashley, Alix, Branden, Britney, Brooke, Jasmine, Ronald Jr., Antone, Robby, Don Jr., Brian, Wayne and three great-grandchildren Melody, Morgan and Elijah.

She was the daughter of the late Mary (Pena) Santos and John Santos. She leaves a sister Jennie Roderick, brother Herman Santos, and the late John Santos, Jr.

She worked on the Cape and in New Bedford. She was a member of the Portuguese Woman's Sewing Circle and the Catholic Church. Lena was active in the Harwich School System. She attended decorative art classes and cherished her time with her family and friends. Lena had a passion for dancing to Cape Verde music. Lena was an avid bird watcher and loved her flowers. She was happily married for over 50 years and loved to spend time playing with her grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, August 11, in the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main St. (Route 28) West Harwich. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10a.m., Friday, August 12, at Holy Trinity Church, West Harwich. Burial is at Island Pond Cemetery.
