Loretta Grace Callaway
November 6, 1927 – December 27, 2019
Loretta Grace Callaway (nee Montini) died peacefully on December 27th at the age of 92.
Loretta is survived by her daughter, Laura Donnelly of Stamford, CT; six grandchildren: David Kovach of NY City; Karla Kovach of NY City; Lauren Powell of Brooklyn, NY; Charles Donnelly of Queens, NY; Anne Donnelly of Boston, MA; and Rachel Donnelly of Providence, RI and one Great Granddaughter; June Powell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Callaway and her daughter, Donna Kovach.
Loretta was born on November 6, 1927 in Bloomfield, NJ to David and Rose Montini. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1945 and married Donald Callaway in 1949. They settled in Bloomfield where they remained until their retirement. Loretta loved reading romance novels, solving crossword puzzles and putting together 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles. But most of all she loved being with her family. Loretta’s special place was Cape Cod and she was most happy on the beach. Loretta was a dedicated member of the Holy Trinity parish community and attended mass daily.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, January 4th at the Holy Trinity Cemetery, with a reception to follow at her home in Harwich Port. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Loretta’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude’s Hospital.

We have been neighbors with your dear mom for 50 years here on Braddock Lane. We will miss her very much going forward. I could set my watch as she drove by our house at 8:50 on her daily route to early Mass. She was a loving gracious lady and we were blessed to have known her. Dan and Connie

It is with deep sorrow that we share with Loretta's family the loss we feel at Loretta's passing. She has been a wonderful friend and neighbor to us for almost two decades. She will be missed.
