

Born on February 1, 1927 in Norwood, MA, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Marie Ann (Becker) Gray.
Pauline was a 1944 graduate of Walpole High School. She went on to graduate from Forsyth Dental School in Boston in 1946.
On April 3, 1948, she married her high school sweetheart, Royal A. Jones, Jr.
Prior to moving to the Cape in 1972, she lived in Cumberland, ME for 12 years.
Pauline was a communicant of Holy Redeemer Church in Chatham. She was a member of Beach Plum Quilters in Chatham. She was an avid bingo player that enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, jig saw puzzles, thrift stores, collecting teddy bears and was a talented Scrabble player. More than anything, she cherished the time that she shared with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Royal A. Jones, Jr.; her daughter, Karen A. Horton; and her sisters, Irene L. Gray and Barbara Tucker.
She is survived by her five children, Royal A. Jones III and his wife, Judith of Bourne, Jonathan D. Jones of East Harwich; Linda Rust and her companion, Russell Stepney of Harwich, Cynthia M. Jones of West Townsend, MA, Paula Ainsworth and her husband, James of Centerville; her seven grandchildren, Jennifer Rust, Matthew Rust and his companion, Allison, Lori Hall and her companion, Allan, Brian Jones and his wife, Julie, Melanie Horton, Tony Horton and Samuel Jones; seven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 1-2 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 260 West Main Street in West Harwich. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private and at the convenience of the family.
