Aunt Susan always brought a smile to me as a kid. She had such energy and was, in short, cool and fun. She brought us to play tennis at her club and invited us into her world of ongoing social activities.

She was always involved and active.

I always think of her awesome gifts to us when we were kids - velour shirts!

Even though I didn't stay in touch with her later in life, I always felt we were connected and remember being so excited when Aunt Susan was 'coming to visit.' I see her in my daughter Caitlin and my sister Kim.

When I think of the roots of our family and where I fit into the world at large, my recollection of Aunt Susan, Sailboat Nanny, Uncle Dale, Aunt Lynne, Timothy, Matthew, Christopher, and Andrew represent bring me a continual sense of rootedness and belonging. So, thank you, Aunt Susan!

Love you and miss you, now and before. I will always keep you close in my prayers and thoughts.

I shall always remember your smile with a smile!
