I never met Richard, but his light and love continue to shine through his daughter Susan. I am grateful for his gift of my friend and for his life which touched the lives of many, including mine.

Richard Schaffer was a kind, loving man, who although chose to keep to himself most of the time, was always there every time one of his children or grandchildren needed him. He loved each and every one of them unconditionally and only wanted them to be happy. I'll never forget the stories. We love you grandpa. You will be forever in our hearts.
